EOL V18 technical support updates.
By the end of 2024, V18 will be End of Life (EOL). In the meantime, we’ll be making changes to the way we currently support V18 and how you can access support moving forward.
Any instances on V18 should upgrade to V20 before the end of the year. 3CX V20 is more secure and better performing. It also introduces a brand-new Windows softphone, call transcription with AI, easier user management, call processing scripts and improved API functionality for better call control.
Add that System Owner!
Systems on V18 without a system owner, must assign one before upgrading to V20. Upgrading to V20 without a system owner will cause major issues which require support from 3CX. Support requests will be charged 500 USD/EUR/GBP per license.
15th October: V18 Support Changes
As of October 15th, technical support for 4SC and 8SC subscriptions on V18 will no longer be free:
Paid Support (Partners & Customers): Technical support will cost 100 USD/GBP/EUR per ticket. For some issues, the best course of action may be upgrading to V20.
Level 3 Support: Level 3 Support will no longer be available for V18 licenses, regardless of subscription size.
Hosted by 3CX: No More Support for V18
The deadline to upgrade Hosted by 3CX systems to V20 was September 1st, as announced in April. If you’re still running V18, support for these systems has been discontinued. The following services have also been revoked:
Monitoring: Your V18 instance is no longer being monitored.
Backups: Nightly backups for V18 systems are no longer provided.
Security Patches: No further security updates will be issued for V18.
When you restore backups on a Hosted by 3CX instance, it will automatically be upgraded to V20.
3CX Forums for V18 Users
From October 15th, V18 forum users will no longer be able to post or participate in any ongoing discussions.
